Acne Aging Skin
Acne is an extremely prevalent skin condition affecting many people globally but does not just affect the young. Whilst it is true that acne will often become apparent during the formative years, many people do in fact find it a temporary condition although as many as nine in every ten people will suffer with at some point in their lives.
Acne is the result of clogged hair follicles, caused by the overproduction of sebum, which is from the sebaceous glands but oil alone doesn’t clog pores nor does oily skin necessarily equal acne. It appears that acne is not an age old problem but a recent development and one caused by too much oil in the pore itself which results in the pimple we are all very conscious of.
But the clogged pores which are the main cause of acne can also be the result of contemporary substances like cosmetics, pollution and even the hormone adjustments many young people go through. Even out diet can play a part in the cause of acne as much of our diet today is made up of unhealthy processed foods.

More persistent cases of acne will probably need stronger medication which can be prescribed by a dermatologist. Usually, follow-up visits will be necessary to that the acne is being cured without further intervention being required. Cleanliness is important, especially beneath the fingernails where germs and bacteria can be found and infect the already sensitive skin condition by scratching.
Germs and bacteria are not normally seen by the naked eye so just because the fingernails look clean does not actually mean they are. To be on the safe side it is always wiser for an acne victim not to touch any of their pimples with their hands just in case.
Research has shown that if your parents had acne, you’ll probably have it as well and very few people have perfect skin, so it is a very common skin disorder among almost every single person. However, in the majority of cases the hormones resulting in acne usually take place during teenage years.
Whilst opinions vary on the subject, it cannot hurt to contact a dermatologist if you are having a problem with acne or other skin complaint.
