Effective Acne Products
There are many misconceptions about acne despite being one of the most common skin conditions around the world; the main belief being that it only affects young people. Although it is most common in teenagers it can still affect anyone and with almost nine out of every ten people having to deal with it at some point it is probably the prevalent condition on the planet.
Our sebaceous glands produce oil called sebum which fouls up the hair follicles and contributes to acne but this is not the only substance responsible. The oil clogged inside the pore, not on the outside of the skin is what makes a pimple although acne is more of a contemporary problem and not a condition people in the past generally had to worry about.
Fortunately acne can be treated and one off the many causes of this condition is the hormone adjustments made when a person is growing up although it can also be as a result of makeup that has not been removed fully or pollution. Other causes that have been discovered are the reprocessed foods we eat and the high level of sugars that re contained in almost everything we consume.

More persistent cases of acne will probably need stronger medication which can be prescribed by a dermatologist. When medication is prescribed, normally the doctor involved will want to see the patient to ensure the acne is clearing according to plan and decide whether to use more extreme methods. It is very important to avoid aggravating, or disrupting, any and all acne blemishes otherwise, the sufferer will face a possible bacterial infection from dirt or germs that may reside underneath the fingernails.
Germs and bacteria are not normally seen by the naked eye so just because the fingernails look clean does not actually mean they are. So wherever possible, it is advisable to keep the hands, especially fingernails away from any acne spots.
As very few people have completely blemish free skin, there is a good chance that if you haven’t had acne that you may well experience it at some stage especially if your parents suffered with it as well. Although the likelihood is that you will suffer from acne during your years at school and college.
Whilst opinions vary on the subject, it cannot hurt to contact a dermatologist if you are having a problem with acne or other skin complaint. The information here is not designed to replace the advice given by a doctor, dermatologist or other medical professional.
